Caroline Oliver
Caroline Oliver is an internationally recognized authority on Policy GovernanceŽ. As a practitioner, consultant, author, and speaker, operating in North America and the UK, her experience encompasses working with a wide variety of boards across all sectors - introducing, implementing, and fine-tuning their governance structures and processes.
Particularly concerned with the application of Policy Governance in complex multi-board situations, Caroline has recently established Good to Govern Ltd., which is currently nurturing Policy Governance capacity in the UK and Africa. Good to Govern Ltd. is also one of the first partner consultants for OurBoardroom(TM) - an online application for Policy Governance users.
Caroline is general editor of The Policy Governance Fieldbook - Practical Lessons, Tips and Tools from the Experiences of Real-World Boards (Jossey Bass 1999) and co-author with John Carver of Corporate Boards That Create Value - Governing Company Performance from the Boardroom (Jossey Bass 2002). Her forthcoming book, The Policy Governance Tool Chest, will be published in 2007. She is a founder and first chair of the International Policy Governance Association, general editor of Governing Excellence, and a regular contributor to the bi-monthly journal, Board Leadership.
